Lindsey's Little Miracles

The reason I chose to name the blog Lindsey's Little Miracles was because of my boys, Andrew and Charlie. We had quite the experience getting to where we are today. When Andrew and I decided to start a family we were so excited to find out I was pregnant. About a week later I thought I was having a miscarriage but it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy (that is where the fetus implants in a fallopian tube). My tube ruptured and I had to have emergency surgery. We were so sad to have that happen but grateful that I was able to recover quickly. We were so surprised when six weeks later we found out I was pregnant again! I was so sick, throwing up 5-15 times a day. When I finally started to feel like I could function again.....we found out Andrew had cancer! Talk about something you never want to hear...your husband has cancer and you are pregnant with your first child. He had to have surgery and then 3 months of chemotherapy. He had his surgery a few weeks before Thanksgiving. It went well and he was feeling ok for the Holiday. He started chemo on December 27 (which put quite a damper on Christmas). Andrew was such a trooper through the whole thing. It was so hard to see his body taken literally to the breaking point, slowly slowly he felt worse and worse. People in the chemo room felt sorry for us because I was way pregnant, but we felt completely opposite.....we were able to have a special gift from Heavenly Father after it was all over, CHARLIE. We had about a month for Andrew to recover before Charlie was born. Charlie was an active little guy and I was so grateful because everything I was dealing with in my life it was nice to know that he was ok. Charlies name means strong. I felt like he was such a trooper while I was pregnant because I barely had time to think about him. I am so grateful for my two "Miracle Boys". I can't even think about how sad my life would be without either one of them. I am so grateful for my husband that fought with all his might to get rid of the cancer...... and he did! He is cancer free!!! I am also so grateful for such a sweet little baby that blesses our life each day. I love my Miracle Boys so much and believe it or not I am grateful for the trials we have endured this past year. Lets just hope this year to come is a little more mello;)

Charlie is our first baby. Sometimes we call him our miracle boy. We are so grateful for him and love him so much. He is four and a half months old and it feels like he has been a part of our lives forever. I can't believe how fast time flies when you have a baby. Here are a few of our favorite pictures of him.

Hello Blogging World!!

I have been resisting starting a blog for a very long time...until we had our sweet little baby boy. I am the worst at writing in a journal and since we don't live close to all our family members I finally broke down. I figured that our family and friends want to see what we are up to, and how fast Charlie is growing up :( I am really doing it for myself though so I can have a journal of what is happening in our lives.
