In about ten days we went from not really thinking about moving to buying a house and selling our house. I haven't been blogging because I am so tired at the end of the night I barely get my face washed.
The month of August went about like this: Andrew found this house online so we went to check it out. It was a disaster inside. It was a foreclosure and really beat up. The kitchen was so dated and gross and the bathrooms were awful or in the middle of a renovation so they were unusable and that was just the beginning. BUT... the location is amazing, the floor plan is wonderful, the yard could be amazing, and it had tons of potential. So we put an offer in. We didn't think we would get it because there were three other offers on it but SURPRISE we got it!!! They called us on a Friday evening so we decided to list our house on KSL that night before we went to bed. We showed it twice on Saturday and once on Sunday and by Monday we had not one but TWO offers!! We were so thrilled. With everything happening so fast we felt like we were definitely supposed to move. The people who bought our house have five kids and wanted to move before school started so we packed our whole house and moved in about two and a half weeks. It was super fast but we moved about ninety percent of our stuff to our new house (in the rooms we aren't renovating yet) and moved in with my parents. We have been here almost a month now and our house is in the finishing stages. We hopefully will move in in about two weeks. The workers we have had have worked so hard and fast for us. They are starting the finishing details and it has been so much fun to see the progress.
I sometimes forget that we are having a baby until I remember that feeling pretty crappy and tired everyday isn't normal or my big belly isn't normal either. It is crazy how fast that sweet baby is going to be here. We are in a rush to move in so Charlie can get adjusted to the new house before this baby turns his world upside down once again. Charlie has been a trooper through all these changes. We have had our share of temper tantrums, no naps, and short nights. I think he has been trying to figure out what happened. I think he was afraid of us leaving him at the old house because he slept awful leading up to the move and still after a month he makes sure that we are not going back to the old house. It broke my heart to see him so confused. He is doing better and I know this will be better for him in the long run.
I have a ton of before pictures so as soon as there are "after" ones I will post all of them. Hopefully in two weeks we can move and get settled in...then we have unpacking, the holidays, and a baby coming so I think we are in for a busy six months:) I couldn't be more excited about all the exciting things coming up in our life right now.
