So Thankful

So thankful that these guys were watched over this past weekend.

We went to Fairview for a baby shower for Chels on Friday. The boys wanted to go to some football games (and didn't want to go to the shower) so they came later Friday evening. My Dad, Andrew and Pepper came together in the truck (thank heavens) and hit an elk in the middle of the road going 65 mph. The elk shattered the windshield, and the drivers side mirror hit the elk with so much impact that it blew through the drivers side window. Then the frame of the mirror flew in between my Dad's hands and face and then right in between his and Andrew's heads and hit the back window behind Andrew. There was glass everywhere and Andrew said that the noise was soooo loud and the elk was so big, he thought that my Dad was going to be dead. All three of them (my Dad, Andrew and Pepper) walked away with no injuries. No cuts, scrapes, or scratches..... just glass in their hair, all over their clothes,  and in their eyes and teeth. I am sooo grateful that they were being watched over because there is no logical reason why they weren't hurt. There were so many "what ifs" that could have happened but apparently Heavenly Father thought I and many other people still needed Andrew and my Dad around. Here are pictures of the accident the morning after it happened:

Surprisingly it barely dented the frame.

This is some of the glass from the window that was shattered.

So in Love

Andrew and I are so in love with this little guy it is hard to think what our life was like without him. I do know that we took a lot less pictures ;)

We simply can't get enough of him!

It's Official

Matt is in the mission field now and Ash and Kurtis moved this week.

After being in the MTC since July 27 Matt headed to Hungary this past Monday. We were able to talk to him before he left and he sounded GREAT! I can't believe how grown up he is already. I guess the MTC really does wonders on these Missionaries. Andrew had a break the same time Matt was in the airport so he was able to see him and I think Matt was totally surprised. It is nice to know that he is doing well. We miss him a ton already!!

Ash and Kurtis moved to Vancouver Washington this past week.  It has been really weird because every time I go up to my Mom and Dad's house I keep thinking they will be there.... but they are not.  Charlie is getting almost too much attention now because he is the only child around (but only for four more weeks :) Yea!! Ash, Kurtis, Ayda and Beck are also being missed around here.

If my Mom had to say bye to any of the rest of us I think she would have a melt down ;)
