Charlie

I forgot to post Charlie's stats from his most recent Dr.'s appointment.

Weight 15 lbs 8 oz - 12 %
Height 26 1/2 in. - 47 %
Head 45.7 cm - 91 %

So apparently my child is average height, small weight, and has a huge head.
Here are some random pictures from this past few weeks.

This is how Charlie scoots across the room. Sometimes he runs right into things.

Vancouver

Last week Charlie, My Mom and I went to Vancouver, Washington to visit my sister Ashlee. It was fun to see their cute family. We totally miss them, especially the kids and all the funny entertaining things they say and do. We went for a hike, ate yummy food, saw Ayda's school and their new house, shopped a little, had some laughs and just enjoyed the good company. We miss them already.

When my Mom would hold Charlie, the other two kids would get jealous... so her lap was full of kids most of the trip.

So Thankful

So thankful that these guys were watched over this past weekend.

We went to Fairview for a baby shower for Chels on Friday. The boys wanted to go to some football games (and didn't want to go to the shower) so they came later Friday evening. My Dad, Andrew and Pepper came together in the truck (thank heavens) and hit an elk in the middle of the road going 65 mph. The elk shattered the windshield, and the drivers side mirror hit the elk with so much impact that it blew through the drivers side window. Then the frame of the mirror flew in between my Dad's hands and face and then right in between his and Andrew's heads and hit the back window behind Andrew. There was glass everywhere and Andrew said that the noise was soooo loud and the elk was so big, he thought that my Dad was going to be dead. All three of them (my Dad, Andrew and Pepper) walked away with no injuries. No cuts, scrapes, or scratches..... just glass in their hair, all over their clothes,  and in their eyes and teeth. I am sooo grateful that they were being watched over because there is no logical reason why they weren't hurt. There were so many "what ifs" that could have happened but apparently Heavenly Father thought I and many other people still needed Andrew and my Dad around. Here are pictures of the accident the morning after it happened:

Surprisingly it barely dented the frame.

This is some of the glass from the window that was shattered.

So in Love

Andrew and I are so in love with this little guy it is hard to think what our life was like without him. I do know that we took a lot less pictures ;)

We simply can't get enough of him!

It's Official

Matt is in the mission field now and Ash and Kurtis moved this week.

After being in the MTC since July 27 Matt headed to Hungary this past Monday. We were able to talk to him before he left and he sounded GREAT! I can't believe how grown up he is already. I guess the MTC really does wonders on these Missionaries. Andrew had a break the same time Matt was in the airport so he was able to see him and I think Matt was totally surprised. It is nice to know that he is doing well. We miss him a ton already!!

Elder Matthew Cox with his Mission Presidents

Ash and Kurtis moved to Vancouver Washington this past week.  It has been really weird because every time I go up to my Mom and Dad's house I keep thinking they will be there.... but they are not.  Charlie is getting almost too much attention now because he is the only child around (but only for four more weeks :) Yea!! Ash, Kurtis, Ayda and Beck are also being missed around here.

If my Mom had to say bye to any of the rest of us I think she would have a melt down ;)

Conference Weekend

During Conference I always think "What was going on in my life last Conference weekend?" and "What will be happening in my life next Conference weekend?". Well, I can tell you exactly where I was last Conference.....in the hospital.

It was Anita's (my Mother-in-law) Birthday on Saturday April 2nd and Andrew and I were getting ready to welcome little Charlie into the world. I remember Andrew and I driving to the hospital so excited, nervous, anxious, scared, and ready to have this baby. We went in to be induced at 8:00 and everything went smooth and pretty quick. I was ready at about 2:00 and six minutes later Charlie was born! He weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches. It is hands down the neatest day I have ever experienced! I was so grateful to have my husband by my side the whole time. I was also grateful for my Mom and everyone that came to the hospital to see our sweet little bundle of joy. What a fun weekend to have a baby (and not to mention on his Grammy's Birthday)! I thought I would watch Conference while we were waiting for things to progress and of course watch it on Sunday too. That whole weekend I only heard bits and pieces of one talk....but I will always remember where I was during the spring session of General Conference 2011, and there was no other place I would have rather been.

Happy six month Birthday my sweet Charlie!
You bring more joy into our lives than we could have ever imagined.
You are growing so so so fast and we love it and hate it all at once.
We love you more and more each day :)
