We went to Huntington Beach with our friends the Patterson's and had such a good time. We did some fun things but the kids loved being at the beach the most. We had great weather and all the kids got along so well. We are so grateful to have such fun friends and to be able to end the summer on such a high note. (Sorry about the picture overload.)
Our friend thought it would be much more fun to drive all together. This 15 passenger van was our car for the week and he was right, we had a great time in this beauty:
The first day we got there the kids could hardly wait to play in the sand and water:
Macie and Charlie loved boogie boarding:
Connor too:
The second day we headed over to Newport Beach. We rented bikes and rode along the boardwalk and it was so much fun. Everyone had such a good time:
After the bikes we got a treat and headed over to the beach:
We wore this little guy right out, but he was a trooper the WHOLE time:
The next day we headed over to see some tide pools in Corona Del Mar. We saw lots of crabs all different sizes and some little fish:
Right by the house we rented there was this Hydrangea bush and sign. The bush was 90 years old and enormous. I have never seen anything like it. They were so beautiful:
Headed back to Huntington Beach after lunch:
There were so many seashells that day. Macie thought it was the neatest thing she had ever seen:
The last day was a little cooler but we spent the afternoon playing at Huntington Beach again:

I finally broke down and got in the water:
My friend had a good idea to take family pictures for each other while we were there. It was windy and Connor was over it, but we got a couple that are ok:
